The tales and stories of people who have seen, heard or even felt supernatural presences in the same places, makes it even scarier. Although hard to believe, the real story of everything that happened in that place scares anyone.

However, these places attract other types of tourists and curious in search of adventure and discovery. In this selection are 10 of the most haunted places around the world.

10. Château de Châteaubriant - France


Built in the 11th century this place is haunted by Francoise de Foix, Jean wife of Laval. The story goes that Laval knew that his wife had an affair with King Francis and locked in a room until he could poison her. Currently, every year, on October 16, Françoise walks the halls of the Château.

9. Edinburgh Castle - Edinburgh, Scotland

The story is that Dorthy was one Lord Wharton lover and Charles found out about it. He then imprisoned her in a remote section of the Hall until she died of his abuses. The latest vision was in September 1936 when a photographer for Country Life magazine took a picture of her and was never seen again since then (pictured above).
